Polypropylene is a material which offers better resistance to chemicals than other materials. Therefore, cable ties made of polypropylene are suited for use in environments where the cable ties could be exposed to acids, base salts and alcohol. Due to the low density of these cable ties (they barely absorb moisture), cable ties made of polypropylene float on liquids.
